Major blue-chip stocks showed mixed performance on Friday. Maybank rose 0.5% to RM9.45 and CIMB gained 0.7% to RM6.88, while Tenaga Nasional remained flat at RM11.20. Petronas Gas, however, declined 1.2% to RM17.30, reflecting weakness in the energy sector.

Major Malaysian blue-chip stocks presented a mixed picture in Friday's trading session. Maybank rose 5 sen to RM9.45, a 0.53% gain, while CIMB Group increased 5 sen to RM6.88, up 0.73%, showcasing resilience in the banking sector. However, Tenaga Nasional remained unchanged at RM11.20. Petronas Gas, on the other hand, saw a decline of 20 sen to RM17.30, a 1.14% drop, influenced by a slight pullback in crude oil prices. Investors were seen adjusting their exposure across various sectors ahead of the holidays, leading to these differentiated performances.
