Malaysia's two largest banking giants, Maybank and CIMB, performed exceptionally well in today's trading, becoming key contributors to the Kuala Lumpur Composite Index's (KLCI) rise. Maybank closed up 0.8% at RM9.55, while CIMB advanced 1.2% to RM6.82. Investors remain confident in the banking sector's profitability, expecting sustained loan growth in a stable economic environment. Furthermore, Tenaga Nasional also rose 0.5% to RM10.30, adding momentum to blue-chip performance. However, Petronas Chemicals saw slight profit-taking after recent gains, declining 0.3% to RM7.15.
